Webinar: Protection of control electronics in harsh environments

Today, electronic devices are present everywhere, and they are expected to remain reliable in the most challenging environments particularly in safety-critical applications such as automotive electronics assembly in the passenger cabin. Automotive electronic devices are more compact and sophisticated than ever, which can make it challenging to protect components from environmental contaminants.

3M Novec Electronic Grade Coatings are fluoropolymer coatings that demonstrate high hydrophobicity and oleophobicity. They are quick and easy to apply by dipping or spraying without the need for a post curing process. They form repellent ultrathin lightweight layers designed to protect sensitive electronics from moisture, sulfur, pollution, and grime. The moisture beads up and sheets off the side of PCBs when coated with Novec coatings.

In this webinar we will have a guest speaker from Nordson who will explain the coating process and will introduce the devices used for applying Novec coatings.
